Why it happens
After pregnancies, breastfeeding or major weight change, many women notice two things at once: the breast has dropped (ptosis) and it has deflated, especially up top. Neither an implant alone nor a lift alone fixes that pairing: an implant on a droopy breast drags it lower, and a lift without volume leaves a firm but flat breast.
The lift with augmentation attacks both fronts in one operation: repositioning tissue and areola, removing spare skin and restoring volume with an implant, your own fat, or both. The target: a projected cleavage, a firm position and a natural feel.

Before surgery
Your consultation starts with a thorough assessment of your anatomy and goals, followed by a photographic study used to plan the procedure and compare your results later on.
Practical points for every breast surgery: arrive at a stable weight, with breastfeeding finished months ago if applicable; have your medication reviewed (blood thinners are usually paused beforehand, with your doctor); and stop smoking. When age or history indicates it, a breast imaging study is completed first.

Scars
The preferred approach is minimal trace: a periareolar scar plus a fine vertical line — the lollipop — often avoiding the longer inverted T. The vertical scar matures notably well: within months it becomes a fine line barely visible under clothing.
Surgical honesty
In severe droop with plenty of spare skin, the T pattern remains the correct one. Promising lollipop to everyone would be deceit: anatomy dictates technique.
Long-lasting devices, not eternal: periodic checks, and a possible future replacement, are part of the informed decision.
If the real problem is breast weight, the indication is different. Lifting and augmenting an overweight breast worsens it.
Later pregnancies and weight swings can modify it. With stability, you enjoy it for many years.
